About

My favorite childhood poem was “Wynken, Blynken, and Nod” by Eugene Field. Little did I know at the time that I would be drawn to the sea throughout my life.

Wynken, Blynken, and Nod one night

Sailed off in a wooden shoe —

Sailed on a river of crystal light,

Into a sea of dew.

I’m a writer in love with the sea, sailing, travel and sketching. I don’t let the fact that I currently divide my time between a Dallas suburb and urban Chicago keep me from returning to a beach, a shore, a boat or a ship whenever possible.
